Rohan Bopanna and Denis Shapovalov of Canada had a brisk start in the Montreal Open as the duo tamed fourth seeds Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin of France in the doubles first round of the ATP1000 tournament.
In the Challenger in Japan, Saketh Myneni beat wild card Yasunori Hashikawa of Japan 6-2, 7-6(4) after a bye in the first round. Saketh will face eighth seed Chung Yunseong of Korea in the pre-quarterfinals.
