Federer-Nadal rivalry over the years

As the two legends brace up to fight for yet another Grand Slam, we take a look at some of the previous clashes between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

2005 French Open semifinals was the start of the Federer-Nadal rivalry in the Grand Slams. Playing in his first French Open, Nadal defeated Federer 6-3,4-6, 6-4, 6-3 and went on to clinch the title.
With Roger Federer being called the King of grass and Nadal known as King of clay, the two got together for a unique match in which half court was grass and the other half clay. Nadal won 7–5, 4–6, 7–6.
This was taken right after the 2007 Wimbledon Final, Federer prevailed in the five setter 7-6, 4-6, 7-6, 2-6, 6-2..
Nadal was to have his revenge the next year in the 2008 Wimbledon Final which will be widely regarded as one of the greatest tennis match ever. Federer fought back from two sets down but Nadal finally prevailed in the final set. Scores read 6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 9-7.
The 2009 Australian Open final was another epic between the two, the match ended with Federer in tears. Nadal prevailed in another five setter winning, 7-5, 3-6, 7-6, 3-6, 6-2.

The two legends also graced India, and played in the IPTL. Nadal played for Indian Aces while Federer turned up for UAE Royals.
