Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece plays a forehand during the men's singles third round match against Filip Krajinovic of Serbia in Paris on Friday.

Darkness suspended two crucial men’s matches — Grigor Dimitrov and Stan Wawrinka, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Filip Krajinovic — at the Roland Garros 2019 in Paris on Friday.

Since the winners will face each other in the next round, there is no additional advantage of an extra days rest.

Tsitsipas will have to wait until Saturday to reach his first Round of 16 at Roland Garros. He was leading Krajinovic 7-5, 6-3, 5-5 on Court Philippe Chatrier on Friday night when the match was suspended. The Serbian will serve when the match resumes.

Dimitrov put up a good show against former champion Wawrinka. Despite a confident effort, he wasn’t able to convert the chances.

Wawrinka had just taken 7-6(5), 7-6(4) the lead when play stopped.
