Balaji and Vishnu in Germany Challenger semis

Sriram Balaji and Vishnu Vardhan knocked out second seeds Roman Jebavy of Czech Republic and Andres Molteni of Argentina 6-7(7), 6-4, 10-8 in the doubles quarterfinals.

Sriram Balaji and Vishnu Vardhan knocked out second seeds Roman Jebavy of Czech Republic and Andres Molteni of Argentina 6-7(7), 6-4, 10-8 in the doubles quarterfinals of the €127,000 Challenger tennis tournament in Germany on Thursday.

Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan, seeded No.1 in partnership with Austin Krajicek of the US, cruised into the quarterfinals of the $75,000 Challenger in the US.

In the ITF women’s event in China, third seed Karman Kaur Thandi sailed into the quarterfinals with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Sun Xu Liu of China. Second seed Ankita Raina made the semifinals in a similar event in Thailand.

National champion and fifth seed Mahak Jain knocked out top seed YeXin Ma of China 6-3, 6-1 in the quarterfinals of the $15,000 ITF women’s event in Indonesia.
