Roger Federer's perfect run continued as he put up a scintillating display to thwart Serbian Dusan Lajovic  7-6 (7/0), 6-3, 6-2 in their second round clash in exactly 90 minutes.
Novak Djokovic had no trouble dispatching off Adam Pavlasek in their second round match on Tuesday. The Serb, who has three Wimbledon titles, took just one hour and 34 minutes to register a 6-2, 6-2, 6-1 win against the Czech.
In a huge upset, Magdalena Rybarikova defeated title favourite Karolina Pliskova in the second round on Thursday. Rybarikova battled back from a set down to win 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 on Centre Court, earning the Slovakian a last 32 clash with Ukraine's Lesia Tsurenko.
Ernests Gulbis sprang a Wimbledon surprise as the World No. 589 defeated former U.S. Open champion Juan Martin Del Potro 6-4, 6-4, 7-6 (7/3) on Thursday. Gulbis will face three-time champion Novak Djokovic in the third round after scoring his best result in three years.
Seventh seed Svetlana Kuznetsova needed just over an hour to book a spot in the third round, beating fellow Russian Ekaterina Makarova 6-0, 7-5 on Court Three.
