Wimbledon: Day three in pictures

1 / 6

Rafael Nadal fans are happy after he reached round three after overpowering unseeded American Donald Young 6-4, 6-2, 7-5 in two hours and 11 minutes.
German showman Dustin Brown (right) couldn't do much against a solid Andy Murray. The latter reached the third round with a straight-sets win.
It was tense, it was close, it went on for over three hours. In the end, home favourite Johanna Konta let out a primal scream after besting Croatian Donna Vekić 7-6, 4-6, 10-8.
It was, all in all, a good day for British tennis as Heather Watson (in picture), along with Murray and Konta, made it to the next round.
Things didn't go well for two-time champion Petra Kvitova, who struggled to finish the second round match that she lost 3-6, 6-1, 2-6 to Madison Brengle.
On the resplendent Centre Court grass, five-time champion Venus Williams hits a serve during her three-set win against Wang Qiang.
