Bajrang Punia will look to lead defending champion Punjab Royals to a second successive tile on Thursday.

In a repeat of last season, Haryana Hammers will take on Punjab Royals in the final of the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) Season 4 at the Gautam Buddha University indoor hall here on Thursday.

Last night, Rajneesh Dalal clinched the men’s 65kg category bout against Andrey Kviatkovski of Ukraine 9-3 to give the last year’s finalist an unbeatable 5-2 lead over Delhi Sultans with two bouts remaining and book the coveted spot in the final.

Dalal hit the final nail in Delhi’s coffin after Ravi Kumar, Kiran, Anastasia Nichita and Aleksander Khotsianivski won four of the six bouts completed till then.

On Tuesday, the Bajrang Punia-led Punjab Royals had got past UP Dangal to reach the summit clash. The defending champion will use the one-day break to rejuvenate itself for the all-important tie.

"The two best teams of the PWL have reached the final. Both Punjab and Haryana are balanced sides and the final will be an exciting affair," predicted Haryana coach Kuldeep Malik.
