Asian Games 2023: India’s medal number 100 came via the women’s kabaddi team which beat Chinese Taipei 26-25 in the final.

The day’s first medal was a bronze to Aditi Gopichand Swami in the Women’s Individual Compound Archery. She beat Indonesia’s Ratih Fadhly in the Bronze Medal match 146-140.
Jyothi sealed gold in the same event with a near-flawless 149-145 win over Chaewon So of South Korea.
Shortly after, India completed a one-two in archery as Ojas Deotale took home gold against his compatriot Abhishek Verma with a 149-147 win in the men’s compound final.
India’s medal number 100 came via the women’s kabaddi team which beat Chinese Taipei 26-25 in the final. The medal tally will further increase when the men’s cricket and kabaddi matches come to a close.
Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won India’s maiden Asian Games gold in badminton after beating Republic of Korea’s Choi Solgyu and Kim Wonho 21-18, 21-16 in 56 minutes in the men’s doubles final.
The Indian Men’s cricket team won gold by virtue of being the higher-ranked team after the final with Afghanistan was called off due to rain.
Indian men’s kabaddi team beat Iran in the controversial final to regain back its position as the continental champions.
Deepak Punia in 86kg freestyle wrestling, Indian men’s and women’s teams finished second to win silver medals as well.
India finished its Hangzhou campaign with 28 gold, 38 silver and 41 bronze to a total of 107 medals.
