FIBA U-18: China thumps India

With a 1-1 record, India is still in the running for a quarterfinal spot despite the setback.

Coming off a promising victory over Thailand in its opener, India couldn’t sustain the pace set by China and lost 106-66 in a Group-A match of the FIBA Asia under-18 basketball men’s championship here on Saturday.

With a 1-1 record, India is still in the running for a quarterfinal spot despite the setback. India will take on Chinese Taipei on Sunday.

The result: China 106 (Taruike 20, Man 18, Fan 13) bt India 66 (R. Hariram 31, P. Baladhaneshwar 25).
