Grandmaster Harika Dronavalli recovered from her loss to England’s Michael Adams in a grand manner, beating Germany’s Thomas Paehtz in the fourth round of the Isle of Man International Chess tournament here.

Harika now has 2.5 points with two wins, one draw and one loss in this elite tournament that has almost all the top players in the world in fray.

"It was a complex game," said Harika after her victory, clearly sounding happy to return to winning ways.

“But I turned it in my favour. I am happy with the way it turned out,” she added.

Harika faces Scotland’s GM Ketevan Arakhamia-Grant (2376) in Round 5. Grant also comes into the clash with 2.5 points. She drew with Germany’s GM Jan-Christian Schroeder in the fourth round.
