BCCI acting treasurer Anirudh Chaudhury, former Mumbai captain Shishir Hattangadi and Cricket Association of Bihar secretary Aditya Verma deposed before the three-member panel, formed by the Committee of Administrators to look into the sexual harassment allegations against the BCCI CEO, Rahul Johri, on Monday.
Anirudh’s deposition, however, is second high-profile in the case. Earlier on Saturday, former Delhi police commissioner and BCCI’s erstwhile anti-corruption unit head, Neeraj Kumar, had deposed via Skype. CoA members, Vinod Rai, also deposed. Former media committee chairman of the BCCI-affiliated Bihar Cricket Association, Sanjeev Mishra, too met the committee. Verma, later revealed, that he spoke to the panel for 'nearly one and a half hour'.
The three-member committee, comprising Justice (retired) Rakesh Sharma, Barkha Singh and Veena Gowda, are in the process of taking voices from various people on the case and submit a report to the CoA.
There were reports that BCCI acting chief C.K. Khanna would also depose before the probe panel here but Sportstar has learnt that Khanna, who was in Chennai on Sunday for the last T20I between India and Windies, returned (to Delhi) on Monday evening and did not appear for the deposition.
BCCI acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary lost his mother a few days ago, and he did not travel down for the deposition as well.
