BCCI appoints Sunil Subramaniam as India administrative manager

The former Tamil Nadu captain “has a rich vein of experience when it comes to management and administrative capabilities.”

Sunil Subramaniam has taken 285 wickets in 74 first-class matches.

Sunil Subramaniam, a former first-class cricketer for Tamil Nadu, has been chosen to serve as the administrative manager for the Indian team. Subramaniam is given a one-year term, which will begin with India’s second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo.

Besides being a successful spinner and captain for his State, Subramaniam is also a National Cricket Academy certified coach. BCCI’s communique states that “he also has a rich vein of experience when it comes to management and administrative capabilities having served both public and private sector organisations for over 16 years.”

The second Test in the ongoing Test series begins on August 3.
