CoA appoints observer for Baroda Cricket Association election
The CoA has also appointed observers for Rajasthan Cricket Association and the Jharkhand Cricket Association.

The Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) on Tuesday appointed an independent observer, Jai Priye Prakash (Retd. IAS) to oversee the election of the Baroda Cricket Association to be held on September 27.
The CoA said the observer, assisted by a legal person, has been appointed to ensure fair and free elections. The CoA has also appointed observers for Rajasthan Cricket Association and the Jharkhand Cricket Association.
At its meeting on September 6, the CoA appointed an Independent Supervisory Committee with full powers to supervise the management and functioning of the Bihar Cricket Association including, but not limited to supervise, regulate and suspend the powers, duties and functioning of all post holders in the BCA, the power to continue or appoint or replace the electoral officer, ombudsman and ethics officer, to appoint selectors, team officials and match officials and to appoint auditors to investigate utilisation of funds granted by the BCCI.
The independent committee consists of Alok Kumar (BCCI, ACU, Chairman), Alwin Gaekwad (BCCI Cricket Operations) and Sandeep Wagle (BCCI Finance).
The CoA has scheduled the BCCI election on October 22.
