Kohli wishes good luck to 'top man' Rayudu after retirement

In his letter addressed to the Hyderabad Cricket Association and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Rayudu had reserved special praise for Kohli.

Rayudu, in his letter addressed to the BCCI, had said that Kohli showed great belief in him.

Team India skipper Virat Kohli on Wednesday took to Twitter to wish Ambati Rayudu, who announced his retirement, well going forward.

Snubbed twice over for the ongoing World Cup, Indian middle-order batsman Rayudu called it a day from all forms of cricket without specifying his reasons.

In his letter addressed to the Hyderabad Cricket Association and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Rayudu had thanked all the captains he has played under and reserved special praise for Kohli who Rayudu said had "always shown great belief in me throughout my career with the Indian team."

India has already qualified for the semifinals of the ongoing World Cup 2019 and will take on Sri Lanka in its last league match on Saturday.
