Edgbaston will witness a high-voltage clash on Sunday when India takes on host England.
England, which was one of the favourites to win this edition of the showpiece tournament finds itself precariously placed fifth on the points table with eight points from the seven matches it has played so far.
India, on the other hand, has already placed one foot in the semifinals, remaining unbeaten in six matches. It has picked up 11 points and a win against England will see it become the second team to qualify for the semis after Australia.

What makes the encounter all the more interesting is the fact that India recently displaced England from the top spot in the ICC men's ODI rankings.

he weather gods have been kind to India ever since its washout against New Zealand in the early half of the tournament and the trend is likely to continue as Kohli and Co. move to Birmingham for an all-important World Cup 2019 clash against host side England.
"The hot, dry spell is likely to continue through the weekend with peak temperatures in the West today (Friday) with mid to high 20 degree celsius' quite widely and a possibility of 30 degree celsius or 31 degree celsius in the Bristol, Somerset area and Birmingham seeing around 25C with plenty of sunshine," a British Met official said.
"Tomorrow the higher temperatures will move to central and eastern areas (Saturday) and Birmingham temperatures are expected to reach 31 or 32 degree celsius. We are expecting a chance of 34 or even 35 degree celsius in very isolated spots in London or Cambridgeshire," the official added.
However, there is a marked change in weather heading into Sunday with heavy showers predicted for Northern Ireland, Scotland and Northern England early in the morning.
That said, the temperatures are expected to return nearer to normal dry with Birmingham experiencing sunny intervals and temperatures at 21 degree celsius.
