IND vs ENG: Jonny Bairstow lets his bat do the talking with blazing hundred
England opener Jonny Bairstow and former skipper Michael Vaughan were right in the thick of it. Bairstow didn't take the criticism of Vaughan and former teammate Kevin Pietersen too lightly.

There was plenty said after England's loss to Australia at Lord's and in the lead up to the host's game against World number one India on Sunday at Edgbaston. Back-to-back defeats against the Aussies and Sri Lanka put England's World Cup semifinal qualification at risk and it ultimately drew out the critics.
England opener Jonny Bairstow and former skipper Michael Vaughan were right in the thick of it. Bairstow didn't take the criticism of Vaughan and former teammate Kevin Pietersen too lightly.
"I was on the radio this morning; I was surprised with a clip of Vaughan's comments at 8.30am. Bloody hell. That's pretty rich. People now are paid to have an opinion, so they've got to have an opinion. Because we've done so well, any opportunity for someone to see we've lost two games, they were always going to jump on it.
"People were waiting for us to fail. They are not willing us on to win. In many ways, they are waiting for you to get that loss, so they can jump on your throat. It's a typical English thing to do - in every sport," said Bairstow.
Vaughan blasted Bairstow for his comments with a post on his Instagram pag: "How wrong can @jbairstow21 be .. Never has [the] England team had so much support but it's you and your team that has disappointed Jonny .. WIN 2 games and you are in the semis .. With this negative, pathetic mindset I am concerned though .. it's not the media's fault you have lost 3 games .. !!!"
Bairstow appears to have taken the criticism in his stride and responded in style by scoring a 109-ball 111 with 10 fours and six sixes.
