West Indies pacer Kemar Roach kept troubling the Indian batsmen on Friday. He took the wickets of Rohit Sharma, Vijay Shankar and Kedar Jadhav, ending with figures of 3 for 36 in 10 overs. Interestingly, all his victims were out caught behind by Windies keeper Shai Hope.
▲
India skipper Virat Kohli scored his fourth consecutive half-century of the World Cup. His innings of 72 off 82 balls included eight fours.
▲
West Indies captain Jason Holder removed KL Rahul and ended a 69-run second-wicket partnership between Kohli and the opener earlier in the day. He came back to get the wicket of the Indian skipper to slow down India's progress.
▲
MS Dhoni brought up his first half-century of this year's World Cup to take India to 268 in 50 overs. The Indian wicket-keeper and all-rounder Hardik Pandya put up a partnership of 70 for the sixth-wicket to help India achieve a respectable total.
▲
Opener Chris Gayle, now just 52 runs behind West Indies' all-time ODI leading runscorer Brian Lara, was out for just 6 off 19 balls. Mohammed Shami took his wicket in just the fifth over.
▲
Indian bowler Shami who took a hat-trick against Afghanistan, once again was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up three more wickets apart from the Gayle one. He ended the match with figures of 4 for 16 in 6.2 overs.
▲
West Indies opener Sunil Ambris, playing his first game of tournament, put up a useful 55-run partnership with Nicholas Pooran to stabilise the innings. Unfortunately, Hardik Pandya got the better of Ambris at the wrong time and the Windies went downhill from there.
▲
Jasprit Bumrah took the wickets of Carlos Brathwaite and Fabian Allen in consecutive balls to reduce the Windies to 107 for 7 in 26.2 overs. Bumrah's figures were an impressive 2 for 9 in 6 overs, as India beat West Indies by a mammoth 125 runs and knocked it out of the tournament.
