Former India international, Vijay Yadav, will join the India U-19 side as its fielding coach for the upcoming tour to Sri Lanka.
Yadav, who has featured in 19 ODIs and a lone Test for India, will attend the preparatory camp at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru from July 1.
For the last couple of years, former India captain, Rahul Dravid, has been doubling up as the coach of both India U-19 and India A teams.

So, now with Dravid — along with other coaching staff - Abhay Sharma and Paras Mhambrey — touring England with India A team, W. V. Raman will be coaching the U-19 side for the Sri Lanka tour.
Former Karnataka coach, Sanath Kumar, too has been named the bowling coach of the U-19 side.
“It is true that I will be the fielding coach of the team,” Yadav confirmed to Sportstar.
This, however, will not be the first stint for Yadav. As a practice, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) keeps on rotating its coaching staff between India A and India U-19 assignments.

Last year, Yadav was sent to South Africa with the India A team as Abhay Sharma was then in England with the U-19 side. “This is something we have been practising for a while now,” Yadav stated.
A hard-hitting lower middle-order batsman and also a wicketkeeper, Yadav scored 3,988 runs in first-class cricket, featuring in 89 matches. He also took 237 catches and affected 46 stumpings.
The 51-year-old also runs an academy in Faridabad and has also been the coach of the Haryana Ranji Trophy team.
The India U-19 side will play five ODIs and two four-day matches in Sri Lanka from July 11 to August 11. Interestingly, Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar, has also been picked for the four-day games.
