A spirited Afghanistan side held India to a tie in its last match at the Asia Cup.

A dead rubber, but India would not have expected it to end in a tie. In a Group Four match of Asia Cup, chasing Afghanistan's target of 253, India was all out for 252.

Before this match, India has been involved in seven tied matches out of 36 overall in ODI history. India's first tied game was against the West Indies in December, 1991 at the WACA in Perth. Interestingly, India's last five tied games were under M.S. Dhoni's captaincy, including the one on Tuesday in Dubai.

Moreover, this was the second one-dayer of the year to have ended in a tie, the last being between Zimbabwe and Scotland in March.

India still remains unbeaten in this edition of Asia Cup and on Friday will meet either Pakistan or Bangladesh in the final.
