Mark Ramprakash served as England's batting coach till March 2019.

With the Kapil Dev-led Cricket Advisory Committee set to choose the new head coach on Friday, it is likely that the national selection panel will take inputs from the new head coach before zeroing in on the support staff.

Meanwhile, Vikram Rathour and Pravin Amre are among the Indian candidates for the batting coach role, with former England cricketers Mark Ramprakash and Jonathan Trott also in the fray.

The MSK Prasad-led national selection committee will conduct interviews for the support staff from August 19-22. Top officials in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed to

Sportstar  that the panel will conduct interviews for various positions over the span of five days.

"We have got quite a few applications for various positions and the short-listing has been done already," the BCCI official said, refusing to divulge further details.
