Ravindra Jadeja is the first left-arm spinner to reach 100 IPL wickets.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja reached the 100-wicket mark in the Indian Premier League (IPL) against Rajasthan Royals, when Kedar Jadhav took a smart catch to dismiss Rahul Tripathi in the 9th over.

Jadeja is now the 13th bowler in IPL history and the first left-arm spinner to reach the landmark. His CSK teammates Dwayne Bravo (143) and Harabhajan Singh (141) are currently fourth and fifth in the all-time highest wicket-takers list.

"I am very happy with all my numbers (100 IPL wickets). Happy with the way I am bowling. Overall I'm enjoying my game - whether I'm playing ODIs or Tests. It feels great," Jadeja said at the innings break.

Jadeja was delighted to reach the milestone at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, where he had started his IPL career with Rajasthan Royals in 2008.

"I started playing IPL from Rajasthan. Always wanted to play in front of this crowd. The crowd support was amazing when I was playing for Rajasthan," he added.

Mumbai Indians' Lasith Malinga is the leading wicket-taker with 157 scalps to his name, followed closely by Amit Mishra and Piyush Chawla.

Jadeja finished with figures of 2 for 20 as Rajasthan scored 151/7 in 20 overs.

"We are enjoying as a team. Hopefully, the momentum continues. I was looking for wickets. I was not just trying to restrict them. I knew that the ball was spinning, I was bowling at the stumps and the wicket did the rest," the left-armer said.
