In a very rare instance, M.S. Dhoni walked on to the pitch to appeal for a no-ball in the final over of the game against Rajasthan Royals.

It is not quite often do you see Mahendra Singh Dhoni lose his composure. Known as the 'Captain Cool', the Chennai Super Kings skipper walked on to the pitch in an unlikely fashion in the final over of the Indian Premier League match against Rajasthan Royals despite him being out third ball in the same over.

Ben Stokes' fourth ball of the 20th over was a full toss to Mitchell Santner with CSK needing eight runs off the final three balls. Umpire Ulhas Gandhe signalled for a no-ball immediately after the ball was bowled, but went to consult square-leg umpire Bruce Oxenford to take a final call, and that was when the drama unfolded.

As RR vs CSK happened

After Oxenford deemed it to be a legal delivery, Ravindra Jadeja continued to have a chat with the umpires and Dhoni, who had seen the umpire's hand go up, came charging out in protest. A few Rajasthan players also were involved in the argument and finally Oxenford's call stood.

Ben Stokes tried to calm Dhoni down but in vain.

However, CSK had the final laugh as Santner hit the final ball for a six to bring up a four-wicket victory and Dhoni's 100th win in the IPL as captain.
