One thousand and three cricketers, including 232 overseas players, signed up to be a part of the IPL 2019 player auction that is scheduled to be held on December 18 in Jaipur.

There are 200 capped players, 800 uncapped (746 Indians) and three players from Associate Nations who will fight for 70 openings across franchises.

For the first time in IPL history, cricketers from the nine new states — Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Uttarakhand and Puducherry — in the BCCI calendar have registered.

The registrations closed on Tuesday, and the deadline for the franchises to submit a shortlist of players is December 10, 5 pm.
