Sunrisers Hyderabad opener, David Warner, on Saturday crossed the 600-run mark in the IPL for the third time.

Warner achieved the landmark with a brace off Shreyas Gopal in the 10th over against the Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

The Aussie southpaw, who had 641 runs in 2017 and 841 in 2016 — he did not play in 2018 because of the ball-tampering ban — has been in scintillating form with the bat in this edition, having hammered seven fifties and a hundred.

Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell had recently remarked that David Warner and Steve Smith will be "welcomed back with open arms" by Australia's World Cup squad, with the duo's IPL form auguring well for the team ahead of the marquee tournament.

"David Warner is batting in a different league at the moment," Maxwell was quoted as saying by SEN.

"He's been absolutely phenomenal, some of the shots he's been playing.

"If he can keep that form going into the World Cup then Australia are going to be in a really good position," Maxwell added.
