There have been some big sixes in IPL 2022, with Liam Livingstone of Punjab Kings smashing a 117-metre six against Gujarat Titans on Tuesday.
Chasing 144, Punjab was cruising with Shikhar Dhawan's fifty spearheading the chase. With 27 needed off 5 overs, Mohammad Shami, on for the 16th over during, bowled a length ball which was clobbered by Livingstone over deep square for a 117-metre long maximum.
During Mumbai Indians' match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 17, Tim David went after T Natarajan, hammering him for four sixes in an over. One of those maximums was 114-metre long.
Earlier in the tournament, Dewald Brevis of MI had smashed a 112-metre six. He struck a quickfire 49 against Punjab Kings at MCA Stadium in Pune, which featured five monstrous maximums.
