Jemimah Rodrigues to play Kia Super League

After Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana, it's time for Jemimah Rodrigues to feature in the Kia Super League.

On Tuesday, the young batswoman from Mumbai was roped in by Yorkshire Diamonds for the tournament, which begins in August.

The 18-year-old Mumbai cricketer, who has enjoyed tremendous success for the Indian women's team for the last year-and-a-half, was recently named the player of the tournament in the Women's T20 Challenge, which was held in Jaipur in May.

"I'm really happy and looking forward to having an amazing experience and also a tournament," Jemimah told  Sportstar .

The upcoming edition of the KSL featuring six teams begins on August 6. Surrey Stars will begin its defence of their crown when they face off against the Yorkshire Diamonds.

The KSL will be replaced by The Hundred from 2020 onwards. With Jemimah featuring in the tournament, Indian fans will have plenty to cheer for!
