Ajinkya Rahane will lead India in the one-off Test match against Afghanistan in Bengaluru from June 14. Virat Kohli, who will be in Surrey for a county stint, however, will lead the team in the T20 series against Ireland later in June.

Ajinkya Rahane will lead India in the one-off Test match against Afghanistan in Bengaluru from June 14.

The BCCI senior selection committee, on Tuesday, announced the 15-member squad for the Test, which will be missed by Virat Kohli.

Kohli, who will be in Surrey for a county stint, however, will lead the team in the T20 series against Ireland later in June. The star batsman, will also lead the team in the T20 and ODI series against England.

While there were no major changes in the squads, Ambati Rayudu, who donned the India colours for the last time in 2016, has been named in the ODI squad against England, along with Shreyas Iyer, after a terrific IPL season.
