Top officials have confirmed to this publication that the selection committee will pick the team for the Bangladesh series -- which begins next month -- by next week.

With Prasad and Gagan Khoda’s term ending this year, there were reports that Lakshman Sivaramakrishnan could replace Prasad as the chairman of the committee, while Sarandeep Singh, Jatin Paranjpe and Devang Gandhi were set to continue in their roles for another year until their term ended in 2020.

With the new constitution doing away with zonal representation, it needs to be seen what the new BCCI committee decides on the appointment of the new selection committee.
