Srinath to inspect new venues

The ICC Elite Panel Match Refereewill inspect venues in Assam, Thiruvananthapuram, Raipur and Lucknow.

The former India fast bowler, Srinath’s schedule will be soon planned by the BCCI’s GM, Cricket Operations, M. V. Sridhar.

India’s ICC Elite Panel Match Referee, Javagal Srinath, has been nominated to inspect the new cricket venues at Assam and Thiruvananthapuram, as a process to get the accreditation to stage international matches. Srinath will visit Raipur and Lucknow for the same purpose. All venues are functional.

The two new venues, Assam and Thiruvananthapuram, were on August 1, allotted matches by the BCCI for Twenty 20 internationals against Australia and Sri Lanka, without the ICC accreditation.
