After memorable wins for Nepal and India on day 1 of the 2024 Women’s Asia Cup, Thailand beat Malaysia by 22 runs while Sri Lanka thrashed Bangladesh by seven wickets on day two.
Vishmi Gunaratne’s fluent batting display helped the host nation to a solid start in their campaign while Thailand braved some resilient displays from Malaysia’s Wan Julia and the bowlers to get away with the points in their fixture.
