India defeated Thailand 4-1 in its opening AFC Asian Cup fixture at the Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. Sunil Chhetri, Anirudh Thapa and Jeje Lalpekhlua were among the goals as the Blue Tigers claimed top spot in Group A ahead of favourite UAE and Bahrain.
