Lacklustre Bayern Munich had to come from behind to rescue a 1-1 draw against Werder Bremen on Saturday, slipping up for only the second time in its last 35 matches in all competitions, but still moving three points clear at the top of the table. Werder took a deserved lead on the stroke of halftime after Josh Sargent set up Max Eggestein who beat keeper Manuel Neuer with a well-placed left-footed effort.
Bayern, which had won 33 of its previous 34 games in all competitions, did not get a single shot on target in the entire first half and had to wait until the 50th minute for Douglas Costa to rattle the crossbar with a fierce shot.

But Kingsley Coman drew it level, nodding in at the far post in the 62nd.
Bayern, however, has Neuer to thank for avoiding the second league defeat of the season after he beat Sargent in a one-on-one in the 88th minute.
Leipzig misses chance to go top
RB Leipzig wasted its chance to join champion Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga after drawing 1-1 at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
Frankfurt scored first, with Aymen Barkok breaking the deadlock two minutes from halftime as he pounced on a poor clearance from the Leipzig backline.
The visitor pulled things level with Yussuf Poulsen's superb flick in the 57th minute from Angelino's well-timed cross.
It was Frankfurt who had the better chances to score again in the second half, with Leipzig's best effort coming in the 88th when keeper Kevin Trapp denied Poulsen from close range.
Leipzig drops to third place on 17, with Bayer Leverkusen in second on 18 and Bayern top on 19.
