A hat-trick is a high point in a football game and when it happens in a FIFA World Cup, the goal-scorer enters the record books for keeps.
The Qatar World Cup saw two first hat-tricks, the first by Goncalo Ramos against Switzerland in the Round of 16 at the Lusail stadium in Qatar.
The second was an even memorable one, with Kylian Mbappe scoring in the final against Argentina, becoming only the second player after Geoff Hurst of England to do so in the finale.
Mbappe’s feat though couldn’t help his side to a win as Lionel Messi’s Argentina side scampered to its third title win through penalties.
