PTI Bengaluru 06 July, 2018 22:29 IST (Representative picture) Indian hockey team comprehensively beat Bangladesh in its final practice match. - PTI PTI Bengaluru 06 July, 2018 22:29 IST Defender Rupinder Pal Singh scored a hat-trick as India ‘A’ hockey team recorded a crushing 5-1 win over Bangladesh in its last practice match on Friday.The experienced dragflicker scored in the 24th, 47th and 60th minutes at the Sports India (previously SAI) campus.He gave the team a 1-0 lead in the second quarter after Bangladesh had made a good start that kept India from scoring in the first quarter.Rupinder’s goal was followed by Gurjinder Singh’s strike through a penalty conversion in the 27th minute.The other goal scorer for India ‘A’ was Vikas Dahiya, who donned the role of a forward instead of a goalkeeper in the match. His 54th minute field goal drew loud cheers from teammates and support staff.For Bangladesh, Mohammad Ashraful Islam scored the team’s lone goal through a PC in the 53rd minute.
