Shotgun World Championship: Saniya Sheikh shoots 112 to finish 30th

Former National champion Saniya Sheikh placed 30th after shooting a series of 22, 23, 23, 22 and 22.

Former National champion Saniya Sheikh had the best finish among the Indian women, in skeet, as she placed 30th with 112 in a field of 61 shooters in the Shotgun World Championship in Lonato, Italy, on Wednesday. Saniya had a series of 22, 23, 23, 22 and 22. Areeba Khan who had shot 70 out of 75 overnight, faltered with rounds of 22 and 17 on the second day of competition, and placed 47th with a total of 109.
