PSA Women’s World Championship: Joshna loses in pre-quarterfinals

Egypt's Nour El Sherbini put on a business-like performance to comfortably take the opening two games, before Joshna put up more of a fight in the third.

India’s Joshna Chinappa lost to Nour El Sherbini, the defending champion and the No. 2 seed, 11-5, 11-3, 11-6 in just 21 minutes in the pre-quarterfinals of the PSA Women’s World Championship on Tuesday. The three-time World Champion put on a business-like performance to comfortably take the opening two games, before Joshna put up more of a fight in the third. However, it proved to be a little too late as El Sherbini closed out the match.

I’m really happy that I managed to win 3-0."
