World Squash Championship: Ghosal advances to third round while Joshna and Dipika crash out

Indian national champion Saurav Ghosal has a tough match in the next round against second seed Karim Abdel Gawad Egypt, the current World number 4.

The lone Indian survivor in the men's department, Saurav Ghosal defeated England's Ben Coleman 11-4, 11-3, 11-4 to cruise into the third round of the World Squash Championship being held here.

The Indian national champion has a tough next round as he faces the second seed Karim Abdel Gawad of Egypt, the current World number 4.

For the two leading women stars, 14 seeded Joshna Chinappa and Dipika Pallikal it was curtains in the first round. Unseeded Egyptian Salma Hany beat Joshna 11-9,11-13, 11-5, 11-9. Dipika went down to 13 seed Olivia Blatchford of USA but after a tough fight, which saw the American win 11-7, 5-11, 11-9, 12-14, 11-8.
