David Beckham receives UNICEF award

Former England football captain David Beckham was honoured with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Leadership Award at the sixth edition of the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) Ball here on Tuesday.

David Beckham arrives at the The Sixth Biennial UNICEF Ball at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Former England football captain David Beckham was honoured with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Leadership Award at the sixth edition of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Ball here on Tuesday.

Beckham, who has been a goodwill ambassador for the UNICEF for the last 10 years, joined a host of celebrities at the annual event, including several Hollywood stars and musicians.

The 40-year-old former Manchester United and Real Madrid winger received the award for his work in helping children through his Seven Foundation.

Legendary musician Elton John, an old friend of the former England star, presented the award to Beckham.
