National TT Championship: PSPB blanks Punjab

Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) blanked Punjab 3-0 in the men’s team section of the 11Even Sports-79th senior National table tennis championships, which commenced here on Thursday.

Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) blanked Punjab 3-0 in the men’s team section of the 11Even Sports-79th senior National table tennis championships, which commenced here on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) has considered a special request from Tamil Nadu to allow its women’s team to compete from day two because of the betrothal of one of the Tamil Nadu girls on day one of the competition, according to a TTFI press release.

This may be a departure in so many years of the conduct of any nationals, but this allowance was made because of the player’s importance to Tamil Nadu’s fortunes, the release added.
