Miami Open 2018: Yuki Bhambri loses to Jack Sock in second round

It was a successful outing in the American ATP Masters circuit for Yuki Bhambri, as he had not only qualified in the two big events but also won matches in the main draw.

Yuki Bhambri’s fine run came to an end, as he was beaten 6-3, 7-6(3) by eighth seed Jack Sock of the US, in the second round of the Miami Open.

Interestingly, the 25-year-old Yuki Bhambri had beaten Jack Sock in their previous two meetings, in the semifinals of the Kaohsiung Challenger in 2013, and the US Open junior event in 2009.

It was a successful outing in the American ATP Masters circuit for Yuki, as he had not only qualified in the two big events but also won matches in the main draw. He had made the third round of the tournament in Indian Wells.

Yuki collected 41 ATP points, including 16 for qualification, and $25,465.

In the Challenger in Spain, Sumit Nagal made the third and final qualifying round. The other Davis Cupper Ramkumar Ramanathan will also be competing in the main draw of singles and doubles in the tournament.
