Rohan Bopanna loses in Marseille doubles semifinal

Rohan Bopanna and his partner Edouard Roger-Vasselin of France lost 6-1, 6-4 to fourth seeds Marcus Daniell of New Zealand and Dominic Inglot of Britain in the doubles semifinals of the €718,810 ATP tennis tournament in France on Friday.

The Indo-French duo, seeded second had to be content with 90 ATP points.

Meanwhile, in the $50,000 Challenger in Japan, Sriram Balaji and Prajnesh Gunneswaran were beaten in the semifinals by Go Soeda and Yasutaka Uchiyama of Japan. The Indian pair collected 29 ATP points and $1080.

In the ITF women’s event in Egypt, Pranjala Yadlapalli made the doubles final in partnership with Pei-Chi Lee of Chinese Taipei.

Doubles (semifinals): Pei-Chi Lee (Tpe) & Pranjala Yadlapalli bt Charlotte Roemer (Ecu) & Helene Scholsen (Bel) 6-2, 6-2.
