Saketh Myneni in final qualifying round of Rogers Cup

In the second round, the 28-year-old Saketh was scheduled to challenge Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic.

Another Davis Cup player, 21-year-old Ramkumar Ramanathan’s fine run ended in the semifinals of the $50,000 Challenger in Binghamton, as he was beaten 6-2, 6-4 by Mitchell Krueger of the U.S. Ramkumar collected $2510 and 29 ATP points.

In the ITF women’s event in Egypt, top seeds Dhruthi Venugopal and Ola Abou Zekry of Egypt were beaten 10-4 in the super tie-break of the doubles final by second seeds Karin Kennel of Switzerland and Victoria Muntean of France. It was the sixth successive doubles final for Dhruthi.
