Welcome to SportstarLive's live blog of the Women's World Boxing Championships in New Delhi.

That's all from our side from day 8 of the World Boxing Championship. Do tune in tomorrow for live updates from Sonia Chahal's (57kg) and Simranjit Kaur's (64kg) semifinal bouts.

The verdict is out! It's Chinese Taipei's Chin-Nien Chen who makes the final via a split decision.

Round 3: Chen looks like the likely winner. She spent a majority of the third round on the backfoot and goaded Lovlina to attack.

Round 2: Lovlina adopts a more attacking approach and forces her opponent to the ropes on multiple occasions but fails to capitalise.

Round 1: It's been an interesting opening round. Both boxers showed plenty of attacking intent and both landed a streak of punches but neither managed to completely dominate. Not much separates the two going into the second round.

The boxers step into the ring and off goes the bell!

The next Indian in action will be Lovlina Borgohain, who faces Chinese Taipei's Chin-Nien Chen.

Mary Kom registers a comprehensive 5-0 win over Korea's Hyang Mi Kom to storm into the finals of the 48kg category.

Both pugilists played out a cautious opening round, with neither being able to gain the upper hand. Buoyed on by the local crowd, the 35-year-old Mary put on a stirring display to seize control of the second round.

She put on a splendid display to duck low and throw a wide range of punches at her opponent, which often went unanswered.

The final round saw Kim adopt a more attacking approach, but Mary had a her guard up and held on to clinch the bout and with it, her ticket to the final.
