Strong winds and heavy rain lashed the ground, shattering glass panes, breaking a wooden scaffolding, and sending sheets of tarpaulin flying this way and that.

 

According to the last update from IMD, the cyclone was over Arabian Sea, about 390 km WSW of Porbandar, and expected to skirt Saurashtra coast around noon of 7th November.

 

Earlier, the Met Department had said that severe cyclonic storm ‘Maha’ may not hit the Gujarat coast and was likely to fizzle out into the Arabian sea as a ‘depression’ by Thursday evening.

The first T20 international was played despite smog and air pollution in the national capital, prompting BCCI president Sourav Ganguly to thank both the teams.

Bangladesh, which beat India by seven wickets, leads the three match series 1-0. The final match of the series will be played in Nagpur on Sunday, November 10.
