Set a target of 399, West Indies lost two wickets are is staring down the barell. The weather is not great for tomorrow but you never know what's in store. -WICKET-498 wickets for Stuart Broad and he removes John Campbell for a duck. Snares a thick outside edge and Joe Root makes no mistake. What a start!

- England 369 & 80/0 after 30 overs West Indies all out 197 (Dominic Sibley 35, Rory Burns 37) Burns brings out the sweep shot to maximum effect for a boundary. Lead crosses 250.

Cornwall thought he had trapped Sibley, the umpire gave Not Out and the on-field decision stays as the impact was outside off. West Indies lose a review.

Lunch Day 2 - England 369 & 10/0 after 4 overs West Indies all out 197 (Dominic Sibley 8, Rory Burns 2) Excellent session for England and they have a healthy lead of 182 runs. West Indies would hope skipper Jason Holder returns to the field after sustaining an injury. Burns and Sibley off the mark and England will push for runs given the depth in batting. Back in 45...

- England 369 all out; West Indies 197 all out after 65 overs Broad takes six wickets and England way ahead in this Test with a lead of 172 runs.  Such a fine performance by the England pacers, especially Broad who took 6/31 and along with Anderson 2/28 delivered a huge blow on the West Indies. With the weather forecast not that favourable for tomorrow, England will push for quick runs and will aim to put West Indies in before close.

- WICKET- Dowrich perishes as Board digs in a bumper and Chris Woaks settles underneath the ball and takes a simple catch.

-FOUR- Slightly short of length from Broad and Dowrich goes on his toes, rides on top of the bounce and crunches it through the covers.

-WICKET- Broad takes five to leave West Indies nine down. Roach goes for a big drive, gets an outside edge and a good low catch by Joe Root. Roach departs for a duck.

-WICKET- Broad strikes again and this time he traps Cornwall. The batsman was guilty of playing across the line and the incoming delivry thuds him on the pads. Easy decision for the umpire but Cornwall reviews, only for the West Indies to lose.

- England 369 all out; West Indies 188/7 after 62 overs (Shane Dowrich 28, Rahkeem Cornwall 10) Three runs from the over and it is a matter of time before the Englismen make another breakthrough.

- England 369 all out; West Indies 185/7 after 61 overs (Shane Dowrich 28, Rahkeem Cornwall 7) Cornwall is off the mark with an excellent shot but he needs to bring out all his skills to counter the bowling attack.

-FOUR- Gorgeous way to get off the mark as Cornwall drills Broad straight down the ground for a boundary.

- England 369 all out; West Indies 178/7 after 60 overs (Shane Dowrich 28, Rahkeem Cornwall 0) Anderson bowls a maiden and it's time for Drinks.

- England 369 all out; West Indies 178/7 after 59 overs (Shane Dowrich 27, Rahkeem Cornwall 0) Broad makes the first breakthrough of the day and West Indies slip further.

-Rahkeem Cornwall is the new man at No.9

-WICKET- Broad strikes and he traps Holder plumb in front. The pacer breaks the partnership with an in-dipper, Holder plays all around it and the ball hits him flush on the pads as umpire Richard Kettleborough raises his finger. Holder knew that was Out but goes for the review as Michael Holding describes the West Indies' captain to go for the review as 'desperate.'

- England 369 all out; West Indies 174/6 after 57 overs (Jason Holder 44, Shane Dowrich 26) West Indies avoided the follow-on but there is still plenty of work to do.

- FOUR- West Indies avoids follow-on. Confident looking shot from Holder as he pulls Woakes behind the square for a boundary.

- England 369 all out; West Indies 168/6 after 56 overs (Jason Holder 38, Shane Dowrich 26) Shane Dowrich has looked good and has found a way to deal with the short deliveries. He is due big time and a good knock would boost his confidence.

- Jimmy Anderson back into the attack

- England 369 all out; West Indies 166/6 after 55 overs (Jason Holder 38, Shane Dowrich 24) Woakes gives Holder a life and it remains to be seen how much the West Indies skipper can benefit from it.

-No Ball - Life for Holder as Woakes oversteps and it is a No Ball. There was nothing behind the line and this time the benefit of doubt goes to the batsman. Ian Bishop on air informs that it was only the second time that Woakes has overstepped in his Test career. An excellent catch from Ollie Pope goes in vain at mid-wicket after Holder failed to control his flick.

- England 369 all out; West Indies 161/6 after 54 overs (Jason Holder 37, Shane Dowrich 21) The fifty-run partnership is up and this is going to be crucial for West Indies.

- England 369 all out; West Indies 159/6 after 53 overs (Jason Holder 37, Shane Dowrich 19) Maiden for Woakes and there's a huge cloud cover hovering about the Old Trafford.

- England 369 all out; West Indies 159/6 after 52 overs (Jason Holder 37, Shane Dowrich 19) Archer is banging short to Dowrich given the batsman's weakness towards the short ball but don't be surprised if he slips in a full or a length delivery and catches Dowrich by surprise.

- England 369 all out; West Indies 156/6 after 51 overs (Jason Holder 34, Shane Dowrich 19) Dowrich was peppered by short ball and finally he wakes up with a cruch through the mid-wicket for a boundary.

- FOUR- Excellent from Holder as Archer pitches it full and Holder drives firmly through the mid-off for the first boundary of the day.

- Milestone for Kemar Roach, but trouble for the Windies batsmen. Dangerously staring a follow-on possibility in the face, can Holder & Co. manage some damage control against the lethal English bowlers? Our correspondents find out.

 

- Day 3 - England 369 all out; West Indies 137/6 after 47.1 overs (Jason Holder 24, Shane Dowrich 10) Trails by 232 runs Good noon and here are are gearing up for the third day's play, where England will aim to further push back the West Indies and take complete control of the match.  A win for the Englishmen is almost certain, given the way West Indies batsmen failed against the moving ball. However, the visitors are no pushovers and will try and stage a fighback with two days of play left.

Eng vs WI: All-round Broad shines as England takes second day's honours

Stuart Broad starred with bat and ball as England made early inroads to leave West Indies struggling on 137 for six after bad light brought an end to the second day's play in the third and final Test at Old Trafford.

Broad's two for 17 coupled with a quickfire 65 has put the host in pole position in the series decider. In reply to England's first-innings total, West Indies' top three batsmen all fell as James Anderson, Jofra Archer and Broad kept a lid on the run rate.

John Campbell struck a brisk 32 but Shai Hope continued his poor form with just 17 after West Indies lost opener Kraigg Brathwaite in its second over as Broad continued his heroics. Shamarh Brooks and Royston Chase didn't trouble the scorers either.

Stuart Broad's experiment to adopt Australian great Shane Warne's stance at the crease paid off on Saturday as he smashed a quickfire half century for  England  on the second day of the final Test against West Indies on Saturday.

Strauss: Pope a real find for England, can succeed in all formats

Former skipper  Andrew Strauss  feels  Ollie Pope  has been a “real find” for  England  and he has the capability of succeeding in all formats of the game.

After failing to breach the 15-run mark in the first two Tests against the  West Indies,  Pope alongside Jos Buttler rescued England from a precarious 122-4 at tea to close the opening day of the series decider on 258-4.

England's Jos Buttler admits feeling the pressure over Test place

England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler said on Saturday he had been stressing about his lack of Test runs and feeling the pressure of mounting speculation about his place in the team.

Buttler has a reputation as a swashbuckling batsman in the limited-over games but had averaged only 18 runs in his last seven Tests since replacing Jonny Bairstow as wicketkeeper in New Zealand last November.
