England's 135-run win in the final Ashes Test at the Oval on Sunday has helped it draw level with Australia in the ICC World Test Championship with both sides locked on 56 points.
Virat Kohli's Team India continues to top the tally with 120 points following a 2-0 win in the recently concluded Test series against the West Indies. Sri Lanka and New Zealand are the other two sides with 60 points each.
As per the World Test Championship guidelines, one win in a two-Test series guarantees 60 points. But in a five-match series — such as The Ashes — a team can earn only 24 points for a win; eight points for a draw.
Australia and England were phenomenal in The Ashes. Both the teams recorded two wins each and thereby have 56 points.
West Indies, meanwhile, is yet to get off the mark.
