Dhoni captain of Wisden’s all-time Indian XI

Wisden has picked an all-time India Test XI ahead of the 500th Test in Kanpur.

India stayed at the top of the Test rankings for the longest time under M. S. Dhoni.

M.S. Dhoni has been named the captain of the all-time India Test XI chosen by cricket magazine Wisden . The celebrated team has been picked ahead of India’s 500th Test, which will be played against New Zealand in Kanpur from Wednesday.

The openers in the side are Sunil Gavaskar and Virender Sehwag, followed by Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, V.V.S. Laxman, all-rounder Kapil Dev and Dhoni the wicketkeeper batsman. The bowlers who made the cut are Anil Kumble, Javagal Srinath, Zaheer Khan and Bishan Singh Bedi. The 12th man is Mohammad Azharuddin.
