Siddarth Kaul has been a key cog in the rolling Sunrisers Hyderabad juggernaut so far this season. The latest Purple Cap holder with 11 wickets so far believes it was more about clicking as a team than anything else that mattered in the competition.

“We are clicking as a unit, that is what matters. Sometimes the batting does well, sometimes the bowling unit performs well. In the end, it is the team that wins or loses. As a bowling unit, we all know our roles and everyone has been given a job to do, so it is not just an individual effort,” Kaul said after SRH leaped to the top of the table with a 11-run win against Rajasthan Royals here on Sunday.

RR batting coach Amol Muzumdar, on the other hand, credited his team for taking the game into the final over and insisted that the team was improving. “Things happen and we did give it our best, however things change very quickly in T20s. Our batting line-up is good and we have improved on our fielding as well,” he said.

Many of the big names in RR have failed to fire, both with bat and ball, including the likes of Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler and Jaydev Unadkat. But Muzumdar ruled out any changes, especially in the batting order despite criticism of holding back its big hitters till too late. “We are quite hopeful of a turnaround and we will go with whatever the current opening order is. No changes for now,” he declared.
