Rahul Tewatia in action for Haryana.

Hello and welcome to Sportstar's live coverage of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 matches being played in seven cities across India.

DEL  182/4 (20) lost to 183/5 (18.2) HAR 150 /(20)   VID lost to SER 153/2  (17.2)

Good night, folks. Join us tomorrow at 12pm for more exciting action.

The Result: Haryana put Delhi to bat first at the Wankhede with Dhawan being dismissed for a duck off the very first over. Delhi's resurgence rode on Nitish Rana'a stroke-filled 66 and Hiten Dalal's 49 with Lalit Yadav's hefty cameo powering Delhi to 182/4 - a below-par on this pitch.

Haryana, having started its chase quite well, lost regular wickets including three in a row to spinner Lalit Yadav and found itself in a spot of bother.  With 78 required of 43 with five wickets remaining, IPL sensation Rahul Tewatia joined keeper Rohit Sharma at the crease. The duo smashed the Delhi bowlers left, right and centre with sheer disdain and drove home with eight balls to spare. Delhi now finds itself in trouble for qualification while Haryana comfortably places itself at the top of the Group E table.

Delhi 182/4 in 20 overs (Nitish Rana 66, Hiten Dalal 49, Mohit Sharma 1/28) lost to Haryana 183/5 in 18.2 overs (Rohit Sharma 48*,  C Bishnoi 35, Rahul Tewatia 31*, Lalit Yadav 3/38).

And there it is! Haryana beats Delhi by 5 wickets, courtesy an excellent finish from Rohit Sharma and Rahul Tewatia as they stitch a magnificent partnership to pull off a late win.

Haryana 180/5 after 18 overs: A massive over for Haryana - 23 runs from Sangwan! Rohit Sharma emulates the senior India batsman with two hook shots for six off Sangwan as Tewatia struck another. Haryana just three away from a win!

Haryana 157/5 after 17 overs: Nitish Rana produces a sensational over, giving just fice singles in that over to Tewatia and Rohit Sharma - the Hitman namesake who keeps wickets for Haryana.

Haryana 152/5 after 16 overs: Tewatia has arrived! He has smoked the leg-side fence with two boundaries and a six as Pawan Suyal misses his length under pressure! Haryana 30 runs away from a fourth win.

Haryana 105/5 after 13 overs: OUT! Lalit Yadav rolls it Delhi's way! He has picked up the well set Shivam Chauhan and Yashu Sharma. Delhi has crawled back to the game within a single over! Rahul Tewatia, the crisis man of the previous IPL has strode out to the crease. A Tewatia show in the offing, given another crunch situation?   Yashu Sharma lbw b Lalit Yadav 4 (8b 0x4 0x6), Shivam Chauhan c Badoni b Lalit Yadav 32 (29b 5x4 0x6)

Haryana 97/3 after 11 overs: OUT! A well set Bishnoi has been bamboozled by Lalit Yadav. Bishnoi advances to attack the spinner and misses the ball completely as it hits the middle stump. A crucial breakthrough for Delhi. Chai tanya Bishnoi b Lalit Yadav 35 (21b 6x4 1x6)

Haryana 79/2 after 9 overs: Bishnoi and Shivam have stitched a good partnership after the loss of early wickets. The pair has rotated the strike well with the odd boundary every now and then.

Haryana 55/2 after 6 overs: Dhawan brings back Ishant Sharma, but the lanky pacer gives away 12 runs as Haryana finishes the Powerplay at 55/2.

Haryana 43/2 after 4 overs: OUT! A ripper outside off-stump from Simarjeet Singh. Picks up his second wicket as Himanshu Rana has to depart after copping a brilliant delivery that takes a faint edge off his bat.  Himanshu Rana c Anuj Rawat b Simarjeet Singh 9 (8b 2x4 0x6)

Haryana 28/1 after 2 overs: OUT! Chaprana is a bit too ambitious here. He smokes Simarjeet for a six and a boundary of successive balls and still goes for an expansive pull of tge final ball. He fails to connect it well and Hiten Dalal comfortably takes the catch at deep mid-wicket.  Arun Chaprana c Dalal b Simarjeet Singh 16 (8b 3x4 0x6)

Haryana 15/0 after 1 over: Positive start from Haryana! Ishant Sharma starts with an awry over and Chaprana creamed three boundaries to offer a manic start.

The chase is underway!  Arun Chaprana and C Bishnoi at the middle. Ishant Sharma opens the attack for Delhi.

Brief Score: Delhi 182/4 - Rana 66, Dalal 49, M Sharma 1/28

Fall of wickets:  1-0 (Shikhar Dhawan, 0.3 ov), 2-103 (Nitish Rana, 11.2 ov), 3-128 (Hiten Dalal, 14.2 ov), 4-173 (Lalit Yadav, 19.1 ov)

Delhi 182/3 after 20 overs: Some reprieve for Chaprana as he concedes only nine off the final delivery and smartly removes the menacing Lalit Yadav. With the dew factor certain to couple with a decent turf at the middle, Delhi would have hoped for more given for a firepower batting order. Haryana will still need to bat well to notch up its fourth consecutive win. Stay tuned.

Delhi 173/3 after 19 overs: Lalit Yadav has unleashed his brute strength onto Mohit Sharma. He pummels one through the covers and forces Sharma to pitch the ball short. Lalit unflinchingly puts the ball out of the stadium!

Delhi 160/3 after 18 overs: Chaprana's nightmare continues. Rawat smashes successive boundaries with a gob-smacking reverse scoop hit for four off the final ball!

Delhi 149/3 after 17 overs: Delhi has failed to make a remarkable move to shift gears. Credit goes to the way Haryana has bowled so far. Mohit Sharma has come back and has aced pinpoint yorkers to keep Lalit Yadav and Anuj Rawat. Mohit has placed the field well too, considering the arc in which Lalit and Rawat likes to attack. Delhi 136/3 after 15 overs: Just when one expected Dalal to launch the big hits, he has holed out to short third-man after failing to connect Tewatia's ball well. He misses out on a well-deserved half-century. A lucky break for Haryana but the big-hitting Lalit Yadav has come to the crease and slashed a massive six over long-on.  Hiten Dalal c MM Sharma b Tewatia 49 (41b 3x4 3x6)

Delhi 127/2 after 14 overs: Dalal has stepped up on the assault. A six off Chahal and a boundary of Yadav is steaming up the attack as we move into the death overs. There is a sense of restrain still on the attack. Delhi would want to set up a 200-run target, surely.

Delhi 104/2 after 12 overs: OUT! Rana has been caught at deep mid-wicket by Sharma after he aimed for a biggie of Jayant Yadav. Jayant bowled it a lot slower than the previous delivery and Rana did not time it as well as he would have loved it. Big wicket for Haryana. Nitish Rana c Yashu Sharma b Yadav 66 (34b 11x4 2x6)

Delhi 91/1 after 10 overs: Dalal has hold one end and Rana is spreading his wings out at the other. A delectable six and a boundary through mid-wicket off Sumit Kumar

Delhi 74/1 after 9 overs: A slow but steady resurrection for the Delhi innings, courtesy Rana and Dalal. They have played out Jayant Yadav and Yuzi Chahal with minimum risks but has kept the run-flow in check. Rana 46*, Dalal 26*

Delhi 30/1 after 4 overs: Delhi is back on track and Nitish Rana has blazed Arun Chaprana. Poor effort from the bowler as he applies the same length over and over and Rana makes merry with four boundaries.

Delhi 11/1 after 3 overs: Haryana has put the straps on the Delhi batsmen early on. Rana and Dalal have been put on the backfoot at a batting belter early on!

Delhi 0/1 after 1 over: A cracking over from Mohit Sharma to start with. Mohit has applied all the brains and came around the wicket for Dhawan. He attacked the stumps with a swinging delivery of the first ball before removing the slips and adding the fielder at mid-wicket. Dhawan, wary of the fielder, tried to counter the in-swinging delivery by trying to drive through the covers and misses a beauty from Mohit. Castles the stumps and notches up a maiden over to start with.  Shikhar Dhawan b MM Sharma 0

Match Underway. Delhi skipper Shikhar Dhawan and Hiten Dalal at the middle. Haryana captain Mohit Sharma with the ball.

======================================================

An all-round performance from Pondicherry sees them get over the line with six wickets to spare. Mumbai's losing streak continues. Their slump raises plenty of questions about their batting and bowling. The top-order has come a cropper so far while the bowlers have struggled to make inroads - something for skipper Suryakumar Yadav to ponder.

Pondicherry 75/3 after 15 Overs: Arjun Tendulkar got rid of Fabid Ahmed but Pondicherry are coasting at the moment. V. Marimuthu has joined Jackson. The two batsmen are content with the ones and twos. The target is in sight now.

Pondicherry 56/2 after 10 Overs: Shivam Dube has nipped out both openers but you'd imagine it's a little too late for Mumbai or is it? Paras Dogra, who joined the centurion from last match, Sheldon Jackson, has retired hurt. Fabid Ahmed is at the crease.

Pondicherry 34/0 after 5 Overs: This has been a steady start by the Pondicherry openers. The new-ball pair of Dhawal Kulkarni and Arjun Tendulkar has been wayward, especially Arjun who has gone for 20 in his first 2 overs. Karthik and Rohit are untroubled at the moment.

What a performance from Pondicherry and Santhamoorthy. The latter wreaked havoc on the Mumbai top-order with a devastating new-ball spell and retured figures of five for 20 as Mumbai was skittled for 94. Shivam Dube top-scored with 28. Pondicherry need just 95 to win.

MUMBAI 78/8 after 15 Overs: It has been a procession of wickets at the Wankhede. Shivam Dube tried to stem the rot with a 25-ball 28 but was trapped in front by Sagar Udeshi. Fabid Ahmed got rid of Atharva Ankolekar in the next over.

MUMBAI 50/6 after 10 Overs: Santhamoorthy has wreaked havoc on the Mumbai line-up. He gets Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sujit Naik to complete a five-for. Pondicherry have been all over Mumbai like a rash from the word go.

MUMBAI 26/3 after 5 Overs: Mumbai lost opener Aditya Tare and captain Suryakumar Yadav early in the Powerplay, both falling to Santhamoorthy. Siddhesh Lad has joined Yashasvi Jaiswal. But Santhamoorthy is having a dream game with the ball. He gets Lad out as well. Mumbai reeling at the moment. Santhamoorthy has three wickets for just 11 runs from his two overs.
