RESULTS:

Tamil Nadu 289/4 (49) beats Punjab 288/4 (50): AND SHAHRUKH KHAN finishes it off for Tamil Nadu. A brilliant fifty under pressure to lead Tamil Nadu to a six-wicket win!  N Jagadeesan's 100 and Aparajith's 88 set up the chase but with wickets falling quickly, it was upto the new sensation, Shahrukh to seal the deal. The 25-year-old smashed the Punjab bowlers to rack up 55 off just 36 balls as TN eventually got home in style.

Karnataka 246/8 (50) lost to  UP 214/4 (45) by 9 runs (VJD method) - UP stuns the defending champion. Rinku Singh's 61-ball 62 meant that UP was above the par score in the VJD method.

Jharkhand 422/9 beats Madhya Pradesh 98 all out in 18.4 overs - Ishan Kishan's 173 and Varun Aaron's 6/37 have led Jharkhand to the biggest win in Vijay Hazare Trophy history.

Andhra Pradesh 332/7 (49.2) beats Vidarbha 331/6 (50) by 3 wickets: A sensational win for Andhra as it pulls off the chase in some style. Ricky Bhui's 78-ball 101 with six fours and six sixes powered the chase. With 10 needed off the final over, Harishankar Reddy clobbered a six and a boundary to seal a great win.

Hyderabad 349/5 (50) beats Tripura by 113 runs - Tilak Verma's 156* powers Hyderabad to a massive win in Round 1 of the tournament.

Baroda 264/5 (48.3) beats Goa 263 all out (49.1) - A sensational ton from Vishnu Solanki (108) and a fifty from captain Krunal Pandya (71) powered the Baroda chase.

Railways 190/0 (29) beats Bihar 189 all out (45.5)- Railways openers Mrunal Devdhar (105*) and Pratham Singh (72*) have sealed the chase in emphatic fashion with 21 overs to spare!

Odisha 258/8 (45) lost to  Kerala 233/4 after 38.2 overs by 34 runs (VJD method) - Robin Uthappa (107) led Kerala's chase with some flair. Mohd. Azharuddeen and Vathsal Govind in steady measure put Kerala well ahead of the VJD-par score.

Gujarat 232/7 (48.1) beats Chhattisgarh 231 (48.5)

Tamil Nadu v Punjab: TN 266/4 after 46 overs: Shahrukh Khan is moving rocks and boulders here! The youngster has shown tremendous nerve under pressure after Aparajith's dismissal. TN needs 23 runs from four overs.

Hyderabad 349/5 (50 overs) beats Tripura by 113 runs - Tilak Verma's 156* powers Hyderabad to a massive win in Round 1 of the tournament.

Baroda v Goa: Baroda 207/2 after 40.4 overs (Target: 264) - Vishnu Solanki (94*) and Krunal Pandya (51*) are leading Baroda's chase with ease.

Railways 190/0  in 29 overs beats Bihar by 10 wickets - Railways openers Mrunal Devdhar (105*) and Pratham Singh (72*) have sealed the chase in emphatic fashion with 21 overs to spare!

Tamil Nadu v Punjab: Tamil Nadu on the prowl. Fantastic partnership between Jagadeesan and Aparajith have brought their fifties up in quick time. They have broken down the target to phases well and has accelerated at the right time. Punjab skipper Mandeep Singh has rotated his six bowler, however, a breakthrough seems far-fetched after some solid batting by the TN batsmen. Karnataka v UP: Uttar Pradesh brings up its 100 in style! Openers Abhishek Goswami and Karan Sharma have taken the chase by storm and are crumbling the defending champion Karnataka down quickly. Jharkhand v Madhya Pradesh: MP 80/6 after 12 overs (Target: 423) - Varun Aaron has blown away the MP top-order. Aaron has picked up four wickets in four overs. Shahbaz Nadeem and Rahul Shukla too have chipped in with a wicket each.

Vidarbha v Andhra: Andhra 91/2 after 18.5 overs  (Target: 332) - Andhra loses openers Kranthi Kumar and Ashwin Hebbar after a 43-run partnership. Skipper Hanuma Vihari has got himself to a start.

Tamil Nadu v Punjab: Aparajith and Jagadeesan are motoring on. Punjab's pacers have been dealt with comfortably as the batsmen have upped the scoring by a fair notch. Tamil Nadu 64/1 (13).

UP was on the prowl from the start as Karnataka was forced to move to the back-foot. Padikkal's sluggish fifty alongside brief knocks from Karun Nair and Siddarth KV provided the base for Aniruddha's powerful knock.

TN v Punjab: Punjab nears 200. The Gurkeerat-Simran partnership has however been broken. Prabhsimran essayed an attacking 71 off 84 balls before Baba Aparajith provided the breakthrough for TN. Gurkeerat, however, looks set for a biggie. Punjab 179/3 (38 overs).

Karnataka v UP: Karnataka has lost Padikkal after a sluggish half-century. Karun Nair pairs up with Siddarth at the crease. Karnataka has struggled to get back on track and lost Padikkal at a crucial juncture in the game.  KAR 114/2 (31 overs)

Jharkhand vs Madhya Pradesh: JHA 240/3 after 27.3 overs: Ishan Kishan misses out on an epic double-hundred. He departs after a whirlwind 173 off 94 balls, racking up 16 boundaries and 11 maximums.

Vidarbha v Andhra: Vidarbha 175/3 after 34 overs - Skipper Faiz Fazal departs after a well-crafted 100 to revive his side's innings.

Hyderabad v Tripura: Hyderabad 178/1 after 33 overs - Skipper Tanmay Agarwal falls short of his century at 86. Tilak Verma carries on the innings and is on 76.

Baroda v Goa: Goa 151/3 after 31 overs

Bihar v Railways: Bihar 121/7 after 33 overs - Shabbir Khan and Akash Raj have put up a 50-run stand for the 8th wicket after Pradeep Poojar's six-fer derailed Bihar.

Odisha v Kerala: Odisha 98/0 after 18.4 overs

 

TN v Punjab: Gurkeerat and Prabhsimran have put TN under pressure.  Prabhsimran is racing towards his hundred (70*) while Gurkeerat has posted his half-century. Punjab 134/2 (30 overs).

Jharkhand vs Madhya Pradesh: A stellar hundred for Ishan Kishan. What a start from the Jharkhand skipper. A fine run in the tournament could well ring the balls for an India call-up. This has been a one-man show against MP as Ishan reaches 100  in 74 balls with 12 boundaries and five massive sixe. Jharkhand 154/2 in 23 overs.

TN v Punjab: Gurkeerat and Prabhsimran move into the 40s. The batsmen have jeopardised Karthik's plans to attack with spin to put Punjab back on the pedestal.

Karnataka v UP: Stellar recovery from Padikkal and Siddarth. The pair have taken the attack to the bowlers finally as Padikkal nears his half-century.  KAR 82/1 (25 overs)

Karnataka v UP: Padikkal and Siddarth have found a couple of boundaries to improve the scoring rate. Bhuvneshwar has brought in the spinners to produce a wicket but the batsmen are freely rotating strike at the moment.

Vidarbha v Andhra: Vidarbha 97/2 after 22 overs - Skipper Faiz Fazal and YV Rathod have built on after Andhra left-armer Stephen scalped two wickets to send back wicketkeeper JM Sharma and Ganesh Satish back to the dugout early.

Hyderabad v Tripura: Hyderabad 108/0 after 22 overs - Skipper Tanmay Agarwal and Tilak Verma have put up a stellar partnership. A fine century stand has put Hyderabad.

TN v Punjab: Punjab has fought back. A quick partnership between Gurkeerat and Prabhsimran have put Punjab in a steady hold now. Skipper Karthik has rotated his bowlers around but the runs have come steadily with this pair at the crease.  Punjab 84/2 (22 overs).

Karnataka v UP: Padikkal and Siddarth are struggling to find the boundaries as UP has been brilliant on the field. The bowlers have cut down the runs and has forced the batsmen into a pit.  KAR 32/1 (16 overs)

Odisha is off to a start with 19/0 in the five overs. The match is revised to 45 overs after a delayed start.

Bihar v Railways: Bihar 64/6 after 13.3 overs - Sensational spell from Railways' Pradeep Poojar! He has rattled through the Bihar top-order to pick all six wickets so far!

Karnataka v UP: Brilliant start from UP! Karnataka is struggling to find the gaps and Devdutt Padikkal and Siddarth KV have consumed a heap of dot balls. Bhuvneshwar and Mohsin have kept the runs in check and youngster Kartik Tyagi is into the attack now.  KAR 15/1 (10 overs).

Baroda v GOA: Goa 20/1 after 5.2 overs - Lukman Meriwala continues his fine run after snapping an IPL contract with Delhi Capitals. The left-armer has sent back Goa's opener Aditya Kaushik for 7.

Karnataka v UP: Bhuvneshwar Kumar is back and running. The UP skipper has given away just two runs in his first three overs as Padikkal and Samarath have found it tough against the experienced campaigner who is on a comeback trail from his long lay-off due to injury. Karnataka 8/0 after 5 overs.

TN v Punjab: Fine start for the SMAT champion. Punjab has been put on the backfoot as Sonu Yadav and M Mohammed have begun well in tandem. Punjab 12/0 after 5 overs.
